Christine Landes - Winchester, VA

"It's a Small World After All."

Christine_Landes.jpegMy name is Christine Landis and I have come back to the travel world just recently. My fifteen years as a travel agent began with graduation from the Travel Institute of Washington DC in 1984.  From there I worked at Presidential Airlines as a reservationist and in group services. These experiences lead my career from front line agent into management.

Prior to entering the travel industry workforce, my first trip was on an exchange program with the 4H-Libo program to Japan where I stayed with a host family in Tokyo for my junior summer year.  The following year as a senior, I then was on an exchange program with the Winchester/Winchester Exchange which caused me to be bitten by the travel bug.

Christine_in_Maine.jpeg Enjoying the United States is a passion of mine. We live in a beautfiul country as diverse as the world. From the Cape Cod to the Grand Canyon you will see the diversity of the good ole USA!

I recently had a beautiful trip to Maine. From tasting lobster to standing on the rocky beaches to conversations with the locales.  There is really no reason to leave the US.

Here are my three top picks in the United States:

Pearl_Harbor_-_Arizona_Memoria_Hawaii-1.pngHawaii - I have to say that my favorite place to be is Hawaii. One of the best ways to see Hawaii is to spend three nights on each of the four islands. This is called “island hopping.” Another option is to take Norwegian Cruise Line seven-day cruise to the four islands and then extend with two nights in Oahu to see the Arizona.

Turnagain_Arm_Alaska-2 copy.jpgAlaska - A huge country the size of the continental United States, a seven night round trip cruise out of Seattle gives you glaciers and the gold rush experience. To truly get a taste of Alaska’s more populated cities - Anchorage to Fairbanks to include Denaila National Park - a Princess Cruise and land tour is the way to go.

Las Vegas - A quick get away to a naughty city is a non-stop flight from the DC area to Las Vegas. No car is needed – just a hotel room on the Las Vegas strip
